Hi, I’m Helena.

Footwear designer with Ecco Shoes.

I graduated from BASW Denmark in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Design and Business. Since then I have been working as a footwear designer at Ecco. First as a Kids footwear designer and now as an all-around footwear designer for the entire family as well as performance footwear for Golfers.

When designing I always focus on people and the foot that needs to wear the shoe. I dive into commerciality, adaptability, brand, and innovation to create the best possible products to last and love for many years. Trend and brand analysis are cornerstones of every design I create and I happily explain each choice I make with my own research.

Besides designing I love learning new things and I have often thrown my interest at creative crafts like sewing, knitting, traditional Danish willow basket weaving, and reupholstering of furniture. This also means that a lot of things I own I either made or remade in some way. Aside from crafts I also discovered a love of meditation, skiing, new languages, running, and vintage car racing among other things. I always go by the trial-and-error method and play my way through life and learning.
